BWCP is a multi-skilled consultancy established in 1972. Our work is characterised over the years by its variety: freeports for the Port of London and British Land Company, conversion of historic buildings for Railtrack PLC, schools for the Central Foundation, University College School and facilities for South Hampstead High School; industrial buildings and housing for Wassall PLC and retail for AVEDA, Virgin Group, Music Discount Centres and the UK’s first apart-hotel are just examples.
Recently completed projects found new uses for two Grade 1 former churches in the West End: Sir John Soane’s Holy Trinity (now ‘One Marylebone’) and St Mark’s North Audley Street (now ‘One Mayfair’), both including events, exhibitions and one a members club for the creative industries.
Since 2006 we have been using the planning system to negotiate the relocation of the main working boat repair yard on the Thames which was threatened by redevelopment at Greenwich Reach: the client relocates in 2014 to a new £3.5m boatyard at Bay Wharf.
